Shenandoah Cycling Festival

FESTIVAL SUMMARY

IdleFast Events is proud to present the 1st Annual Shenandoah Cycling Festival featuring the George Derrico Gran Fondo. We aim to grow our reputation as one of the premier cycling events in the Mid-Atlantic region. The festival will offer 25, 62 and 104 mile rides as well as a family ride and kids race.

Strategically scheduled during Spring’s pleasant weather in the Shenandoah Valley of Northern Virginia, the event will allow cyclists to kickoff the season by competing for placement for placement prizes or just acclimating their legs during this charitable and fun event.

The weekend will offer not only some of the best riding the Shenandoah Mountains, but also showcase the beautiful towns of Woodstock, Luray and Shenandoah.

The weekend festival will start on Friday afternoon April 19th, 2013 with the rides being Saturday April 20th:

• Pre-registration deals in Woodstock’s shops and restaurants,

• VIP “carb-load” pasta feed

• Tech expo

• Local race-specials to participants

• Live music etc.

• Full sag support

• High energy, fun and helpful rest stops

Giving back: Our main goal is to raise money for Alzheimer's research via the National Alzheimer’s Association. Along with this charitable endeavor, we seek to stimulate the local community by attracting a wide array of visitors to boost the town’s profile and provide new foot traffic for local businesses.

IdleFast will mimic a unique approach by highlighting the local community’s quaint geographic setting. In turn, the community provides a large pool of volunteers and community support.
